A business event was organized last week by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in association with the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, Indian Business Association in Vietnam, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Vietnam, and People’s Committee of Nam Dinh. The event was attended by approximately 160 businessmen from India and Vietnam, who shared inputs on opportunities for cooperation between the textile industries of the two countries. At the moment, Vietnam meets only 50 per cent of its material demand for the production of garments, and this platform provided a good opportunity for Indian companies to invest in Vietnam’s textile industry.
