Amidst all challenges, some export houses keep adding new and prestigious clients to their repertoire, continue their commitment to sustainability and keep increasing their productivity.
One such company that has been consistently growing on multi-fronts is Noida-based Moissanite Apparels.
The brainchild of Vivek Saxena and Anshu Saxena, a dynamic couple, the company is now growing under the leadership of second generation Nupur Saxena. Recently, the company became GOTS – and The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) – certified.
Already working with retailers like Carrefour, the company has also recently added Walmart and is improving in its overall working.
The organisation’s working pattern is highly systematic, be it the maximum use of state-of-the-art technology, industrial engineering, use of MIS, following Lean, etc. Further on same, Vivek shared “We have invested in training right from top-level management to all levels down and this has helped us to improve more on quality and control costing.”
Nupur who put in her extra efforts to add Walmart and to get the certifications, joined business recently after completing her MBA in Finance. Having experience of working with Barclays for more than 2 years, she joined the family business as she has seen her parents working together for almost 3 decades. Even during her stint with Barclays, she worked for clothing and manufacturing sectors.
“Indian garment industry is also growing in terms of sustainability, be it recycling, organic. This motivates me to work in the apparel industry,” adds a confident Nupur.
She also said “I realised that we need to move forward along with the world. To increase organisation’s overall growth, sustainability and CSR activities are also my prime focus. I have discussed with our senior staff members how we can increase the women in our organisation like in south India. We are planning to develop a few women-only lines on the production floor or a complete floor that will be managed by women. As educated people and owners, it is our duty to educate our workers in every manner we can, be it their health or helping their children.”
Anshu shared a slightly different perspective stating, “Business is becoming more challenging day by day. Many companies are doing their best to survive, but our Government should also help especially regarding the improvement of all kinds of infrastructure.”
