Meet Mridul Dasgupta!
KAS Group Asia has appointed Mridul in the role of General Manager, Sourcing & Quality for Target Australia Sourcing.
With 26 years of rich and varied experience in merchandising, sourcing and quality management, Mridul will be based in Hong Kong and will be responsible for managing sourcing and quality across clothing, footwear, soft home and hard home product categories.
Before joing the group, Mridul was working at Macy’s, where he was heading up their India operations as General Manager, across soft & hard goods for 6 years.
Prior to this he was employed with JCPenney.
Mridul also has extensive experience in strategic vendor development, expanding sourcing footprint and establishing world class sourcing practices in order to deliver operational excellence.
Earlier in his career, Mridul worked in apparel manufacturing with Busana Apparel Group, Indonesia and was also associated with eminent buying agencies in India such as Triburg.
He has hands-on experience in sourcing and quality management across apparels, footwear and home product categories, and believes in working very closely with his teams and suppliers to deliver successful business outcomes.
