The investment will significantly increase domestic US capacity of producing high-tenacity, specialty fibres used in CORDURA® fabrics and also enable manufacturing of bulked continuous filament and high-quality fibers for airbags and industrial sewing threads. Additionally, these durable fabrics offer valuable solutions in military applications such as bags, backpacks and ballistic vest carriers as well as from hiking boots to hunting gear, workwear to motorcycle, and many other outdoor and lifestyle apparel and equipment products.
“As INVISTA’s largest integrated nylon polymer and fibre producing facility, Camden site offers an ideal footprint for reinvesting in high performance solutions for the markets we serve,” adds Brown.
