Lakshita, one of the famous Indian womenswear brands, is planning to expand in overseas market through exports.
Currently, the womenswear brand has a nominal share in exports. To expand its reach in the foreign market, Lakshita is taking part in textile and garment fairs like Textiles India. This will help the brand in widening its business network, attracting new buyers and achieving a better understanding of the overseas market.
At Textiles India, buyers from US, Canada, and Sri Lanka showed their keen interest in sourcing Lakshita’s products. This was the company’s first ever participation in any B2B fair.
Pushpendra Singh, Merchandiser, Lakshita told Apparel Resources, “We are using such fabrics which are not, or are rarely, used by various exporters. Our prints and embroidery work make us unique as we develop it in-house. Quality products and an advanced in-house infrastructure are our strengths. This will help us attract new foreign buyers. It will take some time for us to start exporting but we are optimistic as good opportunities are there.”
Owned by apparel supplier Kavita Women Wear (Noida), Lakshita is known for its Indo-Western dresses, ethnic wear, western tops, and tunics. The brand has around 45 stores in North India.
