
A business alliance agreement has been inked between India-based textile finishing and auxiliary chemicals company Resil Chemicals and Nicca Chemical Co. Ltd., the leading supplier of surfactants and cosmetics mainly for industrial professionals in Japan, for the joint development and marketing of products used for the processing of synthetic textiles in South Asia.
“The association will help create a synergy effect for both of us,” Yasumasa Emori, President of Nicca Chemical was quoted as saying. The agreement was inked at a ceremony organised in Fukui, where Nicca is headquartered. It will be effective until August 2019.
The business alliance between these two companies has paved the way for them to work together for the innovative textile chemical solutions.
Under the agreement, Resil has been granted exclusive distribution rights of Nicca textile chemical products in the textile markets of India and Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, Nicca has the exclusive sales rights for Resil products in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the United States and others.
Despite a strong focus on cotton textiles in India, the country has emerged as the second-largest synthetic textiles markets in the world after China due to increase in the processing of synthetic textile products in recent years.
Nicca decided to go ahead with the collaboration with Resil, in view of its in-depth technical know-how to accelerate business developments in the most effective way forward as the Japanese company intends to strengthen its sales in South-West Asia, reads a statement issued by the company.
“The new agreement which allows us to market each other’s products is quite exciting,” reportedly said M S Mohan, Managing Director of Resil Chemicals.
Established in 1994 in Bengaluru, the Resil Chemicals is mainly involved in manufacturing, sale and export of chemical products, mainly silicone while NICCA Chemical has been offering products and know-how to its customers as a base in surface agents in various fields such as textile chemicals, metalworking, pulp & papermaking, cleaning, hair products, and many others.
