Over 400 companies will be able to share their supply chain data through the Open Supply Hub (OS Hub) supply chain mapping platform, which is supported by four major multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs).
These collaborations with Cascale, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), Ethical Supply Chain Program, and Ethical Tea Partnership are anticipated to enhance global supply chain transparency by mapping tens of thousands of suppliers across many industries on OS Hub’s open data platform.
OS Hub’s platform is increasingly being used by companies seeking to gain a comprehensive picture of their supply chains, identify data gaps, and find opportunities for collaboration and stakeholder involvement.
By bringing corporate members together, the MSIs seek to provide shared value from supply chain transparency, assisting businesses in advancing social and environmental goals as a group. Over the next two years, Cascale is committed to encouraging the OS Hub platform to disclose the Tier-1 suppliers of its members.
By the end of 2024, member companies will have to reveal their tier 1 suppliers on OS Hub. ETI is also one of the first MSIs to require this as a condition of membership.
MSIs give businesses a special opportunity to investigate supply chain transparency in a less hazardous setting. They provide baseline criteria for members and offer frameworks and tools for tackling particular problems.
These organisations can obtain a comprehensive image of production sites associated with their members through the relationship with OS Hub, which is essential for guiding pilots and initiatives.
These four MSIs broaden OS Hub’s current network, which already consists of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, the Apparel Impact Institute, the Reimagining Industry to Support Equality (RISE), and the Fair Wear Foundation.
