Haiti’s Centre for Facilitation of Investments (CFI) has inked a deal with the Association of Industries in Haiti (ADIH) to invest more in the textile sector of the region. Under the agreement, the IADB will provide support CFI and ADIH to get the renewal of the HOPE II and HELP legislation which provide duty-free access to the US market for a large number of Haiti-based apparel and textiles manufacturing firms.
Hope I, Hope II and Help Acts have resulted in increasing the volume of exports in the Haitian Apparel Sector which further has created abundant opportunities for value chain investment within the industry.
