It was a first of its kind meeting for the Ichalkaranji textile companies in Kolhapur, organized by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Bank of India (BOI) with the purpose to bring together banking officials, businessmen and RBI officials to impart new policies of the Government to promote business in the area. S Ramaswami, Regional Director of RBI insisted that Ichalkaranji’s textile sector should look towards branding to add value. He stressed that the city-based textile companies should go for branding across the country and abroad as well. He also discussed about few schemes of the Government and banking sectors for starting new business ventures. Rajendra Chouhan, GM of BOI also said that SMEs are growing very fast and we need to facilitate them with funds in short time.
