DuPont, an American apparel company has been on the front line of the responsive effort to supply HazMat protective gear to the health care workers fighting against the Ebola virus. Not only has the company been providing suits, boots, aprons and sleeves with information on biological protection, it has put on additional shifts to increase existing capacity. In addition, DuPont has been working to shift product stocks geographically. The World Health Organization estimates a monthly need for 3,00,000 personal protection suits or seven suits daily per bed. Lakeland Industries is one other supplier to fight against this deadly break-out.
