BeBop Sensors, a wearable technology company has launched its first product for the apparel industry, BeBop Wearable Smart Fabric Sensor. The company claims its flagship product to be “the first and only ultra thin wearable smart fabric sensor that measures all aspects of physicality.” Unlike the already available sensors in smart clothing that measure physiology factors like EKG and EMG, electrical conductivity or breathing, the BeBop Wearable Smart Fabric Sensor can tap any data that the item’s manufacturer requires from it: such as force, motion, twist, stretch, bend, location, rotation, angle, and torque. The product has varied applications in clothing and protective wear, shoes, healthcare devices, athletic equipment, automotive, robotics, aerospace, gaming, etc.
