With a long tradition of serving the garment manufacturing industry, Mumbai based Shah Jivraj, a trader and supplier of all forms of garment accessories, ranging from buckles, clips and others to packaging materials is upbeat of the market and is looking to expand its product range. The company not only works towards providing its buyers with good services, but also works to satisfy them when it comes to specific product demands. “We are dealing with all forms of garment accessories and do not restrict our base when it comes to sourcing. We source our products from India, China and other bases as well, so as to give the best demanded quality and price point to our clients,” shares Rohit, Director, Shah Jivraj and Company.
Working with well established names like Jindal, Paresh, Welspun and Arrow Shirts, Rohit claims that the company is in contact with trusted manufacturers that provides them with products that meets all the specifications of their buyers from quality, material, designs to any other detail, while maintaining the required international standards and norms. “This is our strength in the market, we can get any design our buyers want. We are even working with customized products for garment exporters on regular bases. These days sustainability being a huge demand we even source sustainable products for our client base,” elaborated Rohit. In fact, Rohit feels that having linkages with various manufacturers around the world gives them greater flexibility to satisfy their customers.
Understanding the importance of shorter lead times, the company ensures delivery from 15 to 20 days depending on the product and factors such as the quality of the product, the size of the order and the type of prices demanded. Despite the fact that the organization can get any design made, they do not supply for sampling purposes. “We do not work on sampling projects, as it would not be viable for our manufacturers as well, so we take our buyers specifications or samples to the manufacturers we work with and get their orders ready. The manufacturing bases we work with are extremely efficient and thus there is no need for sampling and this works well with the exporters as well, as they get the product directly without wasting time on sampling,” reasons Rohit. The pieces left from the bulk orders are stored in the company’s warehouse and sold out for retail purposes.
Talking about sustaining the business in these difficult times Rohit opined, “Contrary to many people’s belief the market for the garment accessories is working really well for the export market, in fact if the business is a little slow it’s on the domestic front.” According to Rohit being a trader is actually an advantage in the accessory business. “Manufacturers these days do not like to deal directly with the buyers of these accessories and prefer to work with dealers in order to get fast cash, as working with exporters means delay in payments,” reasons Rohit. As a connect between the accessory manufacturer and the exporter, Shah Jivraj is satisfying both ends with transparent and upfront operations.
