With effect from 3rd February 2025, Brett Parent has been appointed as the new chief strategy officer of Wolverine Worldwide, an American footwear retailer. Parent will spearhead the creation and implementation of the business’s enterprise strategy in this newly established position, spotting expansion prospects throughout its worldwide portfolio of brands, which covers 170 nations and territories. With an emphasis on enterprise-wide e-commerce growth, he will also be in charge of the consumer marketing team.
Parent, a nearly two-decade veteran of Wolverine Worldwide, the company that owns Hush Puppies, Chaco, Merrell, and Wolverine Boots & Shoes, will remain on the executive team and continue to report to President and CEO Chris Hufnagel. He is well-suited for this increased duty due to his wealth of experience with the organisation, which includes his most recent position as vice president of strategy.
Hufnagel highlighted Parent’s proficiency in team building and business expansion, his profound comprehension of Wolverine’s worldwide operations, and his pivotal involvement in the company’s 18-month turnaround. In order to realise Wolverine’s full worldwide potential, Parent expressed excitement about utilising the company’s powerful assets and accelerating the existing momentum.
