Dick’s Sporting Goods, the US-based sports good retailer, has announced the launch of an athletics apparel brand for men – VRST.
Confirming the same through a company press release, the retailer said that this apparel brand will be exclusive to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The new brand can be purchased on dicks.com and VRST.com. Additionally, in the weeks to come, it will be available at more than 400 locations of Dick’s Sporting Goods.
VRST will comprise wide range of products from hooded sweatshirts and commuter pants to shorts and joggers – with the price ranging from US $ 30 to US $ 120.
Calling it lifestyle apparel, Lee Belitsky, CFO, Dick’s Sporting Goods said that VRST is the clothing that people can wear to work or while travelling. Lee, reportedly, described the new brand closer to Lulu lemon.
In this ‘new normal’ world, when the whole concept of working has changed, the demand for comfort wear is on the rise. So, there couldn’t have been a better time than now to launch VRST.
With 2020 witnessing the retailer post a 9.9 per cent rise in comparable sales along with impressive digital sales, Dick’s Sporting Goods had attributed the great numbers to the sales generated by its active wear line for women – Calia.
And now with VRST, Dick’s Sporting Goods has further moved into the ever-competitive athleisure market.
