Value fashion retailer V-Mart Retail Limited opened its 600th store in Patna, Bihar, taking its retail network to 338+ cities across 29 states and Union Territories.
The company has added 100 stores over the past 12 months, including 24 stores year-to-date in FY27, as it expands its presence in Tier II, Tier III and emerging towns. V-Mart caters to aspirational consumers through its value-fashion format, offering affordable apparel and accessories.
The addition of 100 stores has taken the company’s total retail footprint to more than 5 million sq. ft., with stores averaging around 8,000 sq. ft.
According to the retailer, its recently opened stores have recorded encouraging customer traction and revenue density, particularly in smaller-town markets.
Lalit Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of V-Mart Retail Limited, said the company’s 600-store network reflects the trust of millions of families across Bharat. He added that V-Mart remains focused on Tier II, Tier III and emerging towns, with operational execution and customer satisfaction forming key parts of its retail strategy.
The company’s store base has grown by around 20% over the past year, from approximately 500 stores to 600. The expansion comes as consumer spending power and fashion aspirations continue to increase beyond India’s major metropolitan markets, creating opportunities for organised value-fashion retailers in smaller cities.
