
Global apparel retailer Uniqlo announces Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as its first brand endorser in India.
Kaif will be featured in Uniqlo’s advertising films for both online and offline distribution, personifying the company’s LifeWear ethos of authenticity, diversity, and timeless design.
The Bollywood star will represent Uniqlo for a year when she debuts in the company’s Fall Winter 2023 advertising campaign, which emphasises the warmth and comfort that Uniqlo apparel offers. The brand ambassadors for Uniqlo embody the company’s principles and represent the company’s sense of fashion in a variety of media.
“We are extremely pleased to have Katrina Kaif join us as Uniqlo’s first brand endorser in India,” said Tomohiko Sei, Chief Executive Officer, Uniqlo India. “Her effortless and refined style resonates with Uniqlo’s philosophy of simple made better, focusing on evolving everyday clothing to improve people’s lives,” he added.
Commenting on the announcement, Katrina said, “I am very excited about my partnership with Uniqlo. Their simple, high-quality clothing is also very versatile, and perfect to build one’s everyday wardrobe with.”
In the 15-second advertisement, Katrina can be seen savouring the warmth and comfort of an iconic Uniqlo fleece jacket that effortlessly blends into her everyday look. The launch of this campaign will include utilisation of in-store marketing materials as well as print, digital, and outdoor advertising.
