Veja, a sustainable sneaker brand, is enhancing its reputation for circular fashion by launching a new tech-enabled after-sales service in collaboration with Prolong, an aftercare platform.
Customers of Veja will be able to trace each stage of the repair process, from drop-off to re-delivery, thanks to the move, which is being implemented throughout France with intentions for international development. The French shoe company has a long-standing goal of prolonging product life and incorporating circularity into its brand DNA by prioritising repair over replacement.
By the end of the year, the service, which was soft-launched in March, should handle all of Veja’s after-sales demands in France. Since the brand started investing in in-house aftercare, more than 50,000 pairs have already been mended, according to the company.
Veja was established in 2005 with the goal of reducing water, energy, and harmful emissions by sourcing natural rubber directly from seringueiro communities in the Amazon jungle.
Prolong’s B2B SaaS platform, which allows fashion and lifestyle businesses to combine repairs, returns, refunds, and product care into a single experience across channels and markets, and Veja’s purpose-driven ideals are combined in this alliance.
