It is 3 March today and UK is awaiting the Budget with bated breath!
UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak, in all likelihood, will be announcing a £520 million scheme in today’s Budget.
The new ‘Help to Grow’ scheme will focus at providing MBA-modelled management training to around 130,000 British small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
As per the scheme, the Government will pay business schools across the UK to help them provide 50 hours of free tuition for SMEs over a period of 12 weeks.
Besides, the Government will, reportedly, create a digital platform to offer free advice on technology with the intent to help businesses save time and cut costs.
And that’s not all! The scheme will also see eligible businesses claim up to £5,000 each to secure a 50 per cent off on productivity improvement software.
The plan to unveil the new scheme comes in the wake of Rishi’s recent announcement that firms forced to shut down in the latest lockdown will be eligible for grants up to £18,000, which is a part of a new £5 billion fund.
The ‘Help to Grow’ scheme is divided into 2 sections, namely Help to Grow: Digital and Help to Grow: Management.
