SoftWear, an Atlanta-based robotic sewing technologies developer, will lease about 9,000 square feet space moving from the current 1,600 square feet office at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Tech Square. The company will add about 25 jobs, CEO KP Reddy said. The warehouse-like office space will include a demo lab and robotic hardware. Launched three years ago, SoftWear recently raised a $3 million investment from Atlanta-based CTW Venture Partners. SoftWear is part of a Georgia Tech consortium that recently received a US $ 2 million grant from The Walmart Foundation. It also received US $ 1.25 million from DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and the Georgia Research Alliance.
