Skechers has teamed up with the National Basketball Association (NBA), pharmaceutical solutions company ACG, and the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) for the ACG Jr. NBA program. As the official kit partner, Skechers will provide gear to participants in this nationwide initiative.
Rahul Vira, CEO and country manager of Skechers South Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, “As professionals like Joel Embiid and Julius Randle wear Skechers Basketball sneakers in the NBA, we are excited to bring our products to young basketball talent. ”
The ACG Jr. NBA program is the largest school-based basketball tournament in India for boys and girls under 14. Starting on 24th September, the event will be held in major cities, including Chennai, Mumbai, Aizawl, Delhi, and Kolkata.
Rajah Chaudhry, head of strategy for NBA Asia and India, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, “This partnership with ACG, BFI, and Skechers will drive youth basketball participation and talent development across the country.”
