The American footwear and clothing brand Skechers made its debut at Lakmē Fashion Week, which was organised in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), on Monday. The firm released a press release displaying a streetwear apparel capsule collection created by Indian designer Kanika Goyal.
The “Retroverse” Skechers X Kanika Goyal partnership will make its retail debut on 22nd March 2024.
“Though the Skechers ‘Retroverse’ capsule is a wink to our past, it represents a step forward for our brand as we push the boundaries of fashion innovation and walk the runway of Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI,” said Rahul Vira, chief executive officer, Skechers Asia Pvt. Ltd.
As the fashion show’s star attraction, Indian actress and Skechers brand ambassador Kriti Sanon walked the runway.
Robert Greenberg founded Skechers U.S.A., Inc. in 1992, and it is headquartered in California. Skechers South Asia is a division of that company. The company creates, produces, and sells a variety of clothing, accessories, and performance and lifestyle footwear for men, women, and kids.
