French event sales company Showroomprivé has announced a partnership with Paradigme, a new partner that will oversee Showroomprivé’s clothing line and resale business, with an emphasis on the luxury area. This partnership comes eighteen months after Showroomprivé entered the very competitive resale industry.
Rediv (formerly Patatam), Showroomprivé’s original resale partner, entered liquidation at the beginning of 2024.
Early in 2022, the brothers Fabien and Vincent Huché-Deniset formed Paradigme. It purchases pre-owned merchandise from customers for around a hundred high-end brands, including Maje, Ba&sh, and Sézane. Conversely, other labels, such as La Fée Maraboutée, Ines de la Fressange, and Petite Mendigote, have begun selling their own repurposed goods straight on the Paradigme website.
Showroomprivé’s 25 million members can now sell their pre-owned luxury brand items to Paradigme. They will receive gift cards redeemable on Paradigme for items in the following categories: fashion, design objects and accessories, home décor, travel, and sporting goods, in exchange for their products, once they have been examined and authorised. With its relationship with Showroomprivé, Paradigme hopes to grow its business volume while commercialising used goods via its website.
“Through the partnership with Paradigme, Showroomprivé wants to offer its 25 million members the chance to give a new lease of life to clothes by quality brands lying unused in their wardrobes,” said Showroomprivé’s CEO David Dayan.
