Shoppers Stop’s promotes Kavindra Mishra as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mishra, who was serving as the Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Home Stop, is set to commence the new role from 1st September 2023 that’s slated for a tenure of three years.
A post-graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Kavindra Mishra, has co-founded renowned start-ups like Zovi.com and has also served as the MD of Pepe Jeans for a span of six years. During his tenure, he successfully oversaw the transformation of the company from a joint venture to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pepe Jeans Global.
The retail chain announced this decision in response to former CEO and Managing Director, Venugopal Nair’s resignation due to personal reasons. For an effortless switch, Nair will continue to provide consulting to Mishra for a period of next six months along with the Shoppers Stop’s non-executive CEO, B.S Nagesh who’s handholding the transition period.
