Customers of the scam-hit e-commerce companies like Eorange, Evaly, Sirajganj Shop, etc., are yet to get back around Taka 3.0 billion even as Taka 5.25 billion of customers’ fund is stuck up with payment gateways of 27 such online shopping platforms.
Media reports claimed this citing data from the country’s central bank, Bangladesh Bank while also adding as per the Commerce Ministry, 13 companies have until 27 September returned over Taka 2.52 billion of the total blocked money to 28,867 customers last.
Reports further added more than a dozen online shopping sites were yet to start refunding the customers, which include names like Amar Bazaar, Astha Pratik, Home Shop.com, Safe, Evaly, Sirajganj Shop, Needs, Twenty four TKT, Eorange, Infinity Marketing Limited, Wikum, Akash Neel, Priya Shop and Aladdin’s Lamp even as they added the Ministry of Commerce could not make it clear when the remaining amount will be refunded.
