Sam Edelman, a lifestyle brand owned by Caleres, has teamed up with sustainability and technology platform Archive to launch ReLove, a resale programme for its preloved footwear. The programme allows customers to list their gently used Sam Edelman shoes for sale through a designated page on the brand’s website.
Once sold, customers will receive a pre-paid label to ship their items to the buyer and can choose between cash or a Sam Edelman credit as their form of payment.
Sam Edelman is the third footwear brand to partner with Archive in the past six months, joining Sarah Flint and Ariat.
Emily Gittins CEO and Co-founder of Archive, expressed excitement over partnering with Sam Edelman to introduce resale to the brand’s customers for the first time, and the programme was custom-designed to ensure that beloved Sam Edelman pieces can live multiple lives. According to Jesse Edelman, the company’s GM SVP, the launch of ReLove is an opportunity to extend the life of their products while providing customers with another choice when buying their shoes.
“We are excited to partner with Sam Edelman to introduce resale to the brand’s customers for the first time through the launch of the ReLove programme. ReLove is custom designed to be an extension of the brand and to ensure that beloved Sam Edelman pieces can live multiple lives.”
