Reebok, the renowned athletic brand, recently unveiled 3 new varicoloured versions of the vegan shoes.
The Cotton+Corn collection was launched this year in a chalk colourway and will be now available in Lavender Luck, Industrial Green and Blue Slate.
So, what’s the launch aimed at! The focus is on combining ‘tried and true sneaker silhouettes’ that is shaped with sustainable elements such as uppers crafted in 100 per cent cotton, and a bio-based corn-derived sole, with fresh colours.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the brand uses 100 per cent recycled packaging.
The brand pioneered in the sustainability segment with NPC UK Cotton+Corn becoming the first ever 75 per cent USDA-certified bio-based shoe.
For the launch of the new Cotton+Corn colourways, Reebok collaborated with DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio products, a leading producer of bio-based solutions.
DuPont Tate & Lyle has evolved Susterra® propanediol, a pure, petroleum-free, non-toxic product that contains 100 per cent USDA-certified bio-based materials.
Expressing happiness, Bill McInnis, Head, Reebok Future said, “We are thrilled at the response to the Cotton+Corn line and are excited to release three new colourways to complement the existing Chalk silhouette. But this is still only the beginning, we are working diligently on the next iteration of the range on our journey to create a 100 per cent biobased, fully compostable shoe.”
Priced at US $ 90, the NPC UK Cotton+Corn sneakers are available for purchase now from Reebok’s webstore in unisex sizing.
