Puma has named Andrew Rudolph (Rudi) as the new Senior Vice President of Wholesale for North American sales, starting from 10th October. Rudolph, with over thirty years of industry experience, notably at rival Adidas, where he held the position of Vice President leading sales, will report to Bob Philion, Puma North America’s President. He will also sit among Puma’s executive leadership team, representing the sales function for the US and Canada.
Philion expressed enthusiasm for Rudolph joining the team, citing his proven track record of team management, delivering exceptional commercial results, and deep understanding of the apparel and footwear market. He emphasised the importance of Rudolph’s expertise in furthering Puma’s expansion strategies.
Rudolph, in a statement, mentioned closely monitoring Puma’s rapid growth in recent years and believes there are numerous untapped opportunities for the brand to flourish in the North American marketplace.
In his prior roles, Rudolph spent around two decades at Adidas, progressing to Vice President of Sales for the US. He also served as the Director for the mall channel of distribution, including significant retailers like Foot Locker, Champs, JD/Finish Line, Journey’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. In his latest position as Senior Vice President of Wholesale at Cole Haan, Rudolph accomplished an impressive 70 per cent revenue growth in three years, achieving the highest revenue in the company’s history.
Puma has a history of recruiting talent from rival companies, such as John Miller, a veteran of Adidas and Nike, who previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Wholesale.
