
Indian luxury multi-brand online retailer Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop announces big expansion plans through its newly minted collaboration with Purple Style Labs.
Being on the analytics side of things, PSL will enable PPUS in taking the omni-channel leap and grow business both domestic and globally. To facilitate the growth, PSL has raised US $ 3 million of funding from reputed investors that include Flipkart’s Binny Bansal, PayU’s Jitendra Gupta, as well as contribution from current investors Calcutta Angels, Operator VC etc.
The fashion e-tailer has revealed plans to open as many as 10 new multi-designer flagship stores starting July 2018. These retail openings will be titled Pernia’s Pop-Up Studio, which is the name used by its two existing stores in New Delhi and Mumbai.
Furthermore, the new partnership will see the execution of 10 new edition of Pernia’s temporary pop-up shows. While the exact locations of these openings and events have not been revealed, it is mentioned that at least 6 events and 3 stores will go international.
Abhishek Agarwal, Founder, Purple Style Labs said in a statement revealing the collaboration, “Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop shall act as an important catalyst in our journey of building a globally renowned fashion house out of India. We believe that in years to come, premium fashion will be one of the highest growth sectors and PSL shall be the forerunner in India’s fashion story.”
Pernia’s online venture was started in 2012 and was one of the first ecommerce destinations in India for luxury designer fashion. The store currently boasts of over 300 designers on its site such as big names like Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Masaba, JJ Valaya and so on.
