Peeko, a Bengaluru-based quick commerce platform specialising in babycare products, has raised US $ 3.2 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from prominent angel investors, including Maninder Gulati, former chief strategy officer at Oyo; Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, co-founders of Titan Capital; Abhishek Goyal, co-founder of Tracxn; Nitin Gupta, founder and chief executive of Uni; and Arjun Vaidya, co-founder of V3 Ventures.
Founded in 2025, Peeko offers curated babycare essentials across categories such as apparel, accessories, toys, baby gear, and consumables, all delivered in under 60 minutes. The company will utilise the fresh capital to enhance product experience, expand supply chains, and hire talent.
Chetan Sharma, co-founder of Peeko, explained that the company was focusing not only on product assortment and supply chain but also on building technology to enable seamless ‘try and buy’ and instant return experiences. He added that trust was central to purchasing in the babycare category, with research showing that mothers prefer platforms that comprehensively address their varied needs.
Mayank Jain, principal at Stellaris Venture Partners, highlighted that the baby and kids’ market in India remained large, fragmented, and mostly unbranded, with favourable gross margins. He noted that while offline retail continues to dominate, e-commerce penetration has been limited. Jain said that quick commerce provides a unique opportunity to combine the reliability of offline retail with the convenience of online services, particularly for time-constrained parents.
Peeko currently operates through its website and plans to launch its mobile app in September. Over the next 12–18 months, it aims to scale operations in Bengaluru, open multiple dark stores, and pilot services in other metropolitan cities based on demand.
The development comes as vertical quick commerce platforms continue to gain traction. FirstCry, a leading mother and babycare retailer, already offers same-day delivery across around 40 Indian cities as of November 2024.
