
Paramount Clothing, Ludhiana, with in-house domestic brands like Wilkins & Tuscany, is planning to add womenswear to its product basket, and is also starting denim for kidswear. Rakesh Kapoor, MD of the company said, “The market for womenswear is very big and we want to enter in this market by developing new products. Since our infrastructure, including the marketing network is already in place, we do not have to invest much, except for product designing and development. Our womenswear range will be in the market by the end of this year, 2015 end, which will be the winter season.” The company’s total annual business of US $ 12.5 million (Rs. 75 crore) is growing well in both domestic sales as well as in exports, and Rakesh is expecting high growth this year as the markets are quite positive.
