Multifunctional lifestyle brand and unisex retailer Kith has entered into a 5-brand fashion collaboration with Oakley, Adidas, Columbia, Tumi and G-Shock.
Dubbed Element Exploration Agency, the limited edition line would include an assortment of outdoor apparels, footwear and accessories for both men and women.
Following a sequence of teaser posts on Instagram, Kith unveiled the collection by sharing a three-minute short film titled ‘The Voyager’, on Columbia’s website.
Ronnie Fieg, founder of Kith revealed the motivation behind the collection through his Instagram post which read: “a fully-rounded product assortment inspired by the breathtaking and death-defying scenery of Utah”. With that, the assortment is meant to push the brand’s aesthetic to new levels and demonstrate the functional aspect of what Kith stands for.
The stylish yet functional pieces co-created with the 5 brands include pants and fleece, jackets by Columbia, a canvas bag with leather accents by Tumi, and a pair of sunglasses by Oakley Razor Blades. The footwear range incudes three new trail silhouettes namely, the Agravic GTX, the Response Trail BOOST which features a more rugged design with an aggressively jagged outsole, and the ClimaCool Jawpaw that features a slip-on design along with flexible construction.
The vibrant colour palette draws inspiration form the red shades of Utah dirt complemented by tones of blue from the water, as portrayed in the brand’s promotional film, ‘The Voyager’.
The collection is expected to drop soon, though no official launch date has been communicated by the brand yet.
Headquartered in New York, Kith enjoys two retail locations at Manhattan and Brooklyn, apart from its online store. Since its inception in 2010, the brand quickly rose to fame owing to its collaborations with renowned footwear and streetwear brands such as PUMA, ASICS, New Balance and more.
