
Urban Outfitters, Inc. reported record second-quarter earnings for fiscal 2026, with strong performance across all business segments. The results, released on 27th August 2025, reflect continued momentum following a solid first quarter.
Total net sales for the quarter ended 31st July 2025, rose 11.3% year-on-year to US $ 1.5 billion, compared to 6.3% growth in the same period last year. Net income reached a record US $ 144 million, supported by revenue gains and margin expansion. Gross profit margin improved to 37.6% from 36.5%, while operating income as a percentage of sales rose to 11.6% from 10.7%.
Retail segment sales, the largest contributor, increased 8% to US $ 1.29 billion, with comparable sales up 6% across all brands and regions. Wholesale revenue climbed 18% to US $ 76.6 million, led by Free People’s 19% wholesale growth.
The subscription segment, represented by Nuuly, recorded the fastest growth, rising 53% to US $ 138.9 million. Subscriber numbers increased 48%, taking Nuuly’s base from about 50,000 in FY ’20 to 350,000 in FY ’26.
Among individual brands, Anthropologie grew sales by 7% to US $ 607 million, Free People rose 14% to US $ 415 million, and the Urban Outfitters brand gained 5% to US $ 333.2 million.
