Nordstrom reports a successful holiday season

Nordstrom Inc., one of the leading fashion companies in the United States of America, has revealed its sales report for the months of November and December 2017.

During the period under review, the fashion retailer reported an increase of 2.5 per cent in its net sales and 1.2 per cent surge in its comparable sales as compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, Nordstrom brand, including full-line stores in the US and Canada and Nordstrom.com, noted a 0.7 per cent increase in net sales and 1.0 per cent rise in comparable sales during the holidays.

Net sales and comparable sales increased by 8.2 per cent and 2.9 per cent, respectively, for the Nordstrom Rack brand, which consists of Nordstrom Rack stores and Nordstromrack.com/HauteLook.

Nordstrom Inc. now anticipates that during the fourth quarter its net sales will note an approximate 4.2 per cent increase while comparable sales will go up by 0.5 per cent. These expectations are based on the performance delivered in the holiday season.
