British fashion retailer Mulberry has announced that non-executive chairman Godfrey Davis will quit from the board on 30 September.
If media reports are anything to go by, Godfrey will be succeeded by Chris Roberts, the non-executive director at Mulberry.
The retailer has said, in a statement released to media, that Godfrey will remain associated with the business as life president in a non-board role.
Not surprising, considering Godfrey has been associated with the retailer for over 30 years.
He had joined Mulberry back in 1987 as a Finance Director and then grown to become the CEO and later Chairman.
Meanwhile, the luxury retailer has said that it does plan to appoint an additional independent non-executive director and also name a senior independent director in the near future.
Founded in 1971, Mulberry is known for luxury leather goods and fashion accessories.
