Fashion technology start-up MannyAI has secured funding of nearly US $ 1.6 million including grants from Innovate UK and pre-seed investments led by Dreamcraft Ventures.
The fash-tech start-up aims to revolutionise traditional fashion production methods and make them AI-powered production centres.
The UK-based start-up’s tech-driven innovation will help curb the issue of overproduction by making it financially feasible to produce garments in smaller quantities.
This will make it possible to overcome the challenges related to manufacturing costs and provide an alternative for problems related to waste, overproduction and overconsumption in the fashion industry.
The fashion industry is notorious for its unsustainable practices, with up to 40 per cent of garments often ending up unsold. Traditional models, reliant on bulk purchasing and markdowns, exacerbate this problem. MannyAI offers a groundbreaking solution: an AI-powered platform that enables brands and their suppliers to collaborate seamlessly on short, responsive order cycles.
Founded by ex-manufacturer Shruti Grover and data scientist Simon Johnson, MannyAI leverages their deep industry knowledge and technological expertise to empower factories. Their AI-powered tools optimize production planning, cost negotiation, and order allocation, enabling factories to operate more efficiently and profitably.
