Spanish fashion retailer Mango has unveiled an elevated menswear capsule collection with heritage Italian tailoring company Boglioli.
The initial iteration of the ‘Mango designed by Boglioli’ partnership reimagines the classic men’s tailored jacket from the Italian brand in eight new ‘comfortable and lightweight’ versions with pinstripe and tweed prints, as well as a colour scheme of brown, green, and grey.
Mango states in the press release that the goal is to ‘reformulate its concept of tailoring by placing the focus on quality and design.’ To that end, the company is showcasing eight tailored jackets that are made with premium Italian fabrics like wool-knit and flannel and that are crafted using artisanal techniques in elite European sewing workshops.
Highlights include a casual blazer with the iconic Prince of Wales print and a slim-fit model with a herringbone pattern, as well as a double-breasted jacket made of Italian flannel fabric, which is a blend of virgin wool and cashmere.
The blazers are offered on the Mango website and in a few select US, UK, Spain, Italian, French, and Portuguese retail locations.
Mango Man, which is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary, has seen ‘strong’ growth in recent years in terms of sales, stores, and worldwide expansion. This coincides with the release of the collaboration collection.
Menswear is predicted to close the year with a record turnover of around £ 283 million, about twice as much as it did in 2020 when it only made £ 147 million.
Additionally, it plans to close in 2023 with more than 560 physical locations across 90 countries and an online presence in more than 80 markets.
