Lululemon, a technical athletic apparel brand is set to make its India debut this autumn with the launch of its first retail store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi through a franchise partnership with Tata CLiQ, the company announced in an official statement.
The store will offer apparel for both men and women, spanning categories including yoga, Pilates, running, training, tennis, golf and everyday activewear.
Lululemon stated that beyond retail, the space is intended to function as a community hub, hosting events with guests, brand ambassadors and local health and fitness groups.
Alongside the store launch, Tata CLiQ, an e-commerce platform owned by the Tata Group, will introduce Lululemon on its Tata CLiQ Luxury and Tata CLiQ Fashion platforms, making the brand accessible to customers across India through its online channels.
“The company has been engaging with the New Delhi community in collaboration with Tata CLiQ ahead of the opening,” said Sarah Clark, Senior Vice President, EMEA, Lululemon.
She noted that the city presents strong demand for premium performance apparel that blends technical innovation with contemporary style.
Commenting on the partnership, Tata CLiQ CEO Gopal Asthana described it as a significant step in bringing globally renowned brands to Indian consumers. The growing preference for premium activewear that combines performance and design makes India an attractive market for the brand.
Asthana added that the first store and the brand’s online launch are scheduled for the coming months, with plans to gradually strengthen Lululemon’s omnichannel presence in the country.
Lululemon currently operates in more than 30 markets worldwide, with a strong presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific and mainland China.
