
Lululemon Athletica, a yoga-inspired apparel athletic company, has named Calvin McDonald as it’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from August 20.
The Vancouver-based clothing company kicked off its search for a new executive after the then CEO Laurent Potdevin, resigned from his post over alleged misconduct violations in February this year.
Three executives Celeste Burgoyne, Stuart Haselden and Sun Choe, who successfully guided the day-to-day operations of lululemon since February will now report to McDonald.
McDonald will become a member of Board of Directors of Lululemon, which makes performance shirts, shorts, pants, lifestyle clothing.
Glenn Murphy, chairman of the Board of Directors, finds McDonald who possesses strong consumer mindset, performance-driven approach, and success developing people; an ideal person for the role.
