
Global leader in luxury apparel, Louis Vuitton, is reportedly planning to sell apparel in India. Currently it retails only bags, shoes, scarves and other accessories in the country.
Men’s and women’s cloth line by the luxury retail brand would be sold at its outlet at the Emporio Mall in Delhi.
The brand has two more outlets operational in India one each in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
According to media, the retailer is planning to kick off sale of apparel line at its Delhi store in September this year.
It is also anticipated that the luxury label would expand its store known as L’Appartement to two-level and reportedly the brand has already initiated talks for the same.
The brand is already offering its latest collections through L’Appartement in Singapore and Hong Kong.
The brand part of the French luxury retail group LVMH- reported more than 50 per cent increase in profit in its retail business in India in the fiscal 2017.
Globally, LVMH’s portfolio of brands includes Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Berluti, Christian Dior and Marc Jacobs. In India, it operates brands such as Fendi through separate registered entities. The brand has been present in India since November 2002.
