Lord & Taylor, which had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year, is back!
The Saadia Group, which owns the iconic American fashion brand, has officially launched the brand as a digital collective store. It will be known as ‘America’s Collective Store’.
Elated over the launch, Jack Saadia, Co-founder and principal, told media that it is just the beginning for the nearly 200-year-old Lord & Taylor.
Jack added “We are excited to build the future of the brand, expand the loyal community and show the world what’s next.”
Last October, The Group had bought the intellectual property of the American fashion stalwart for US $ 12 million at a Chapter 11 bankruptcy auction.

Lord & Taylor had closed down all its bricks-and-mortar stores last year. Experts believe, going forward, bricks-and-mortar stores might be in retailer’s plans, but as of now the focus is to connect with those customers online.
The Saadia Group caters to a diversified portfolio of products across multiple categories – ranging from fashion apparels for men, women and children to home textiles and women’s handbags.
