Luxury fashion house Loewe has announced Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the design duo behind Proenza Schouler, as its new creative directors. The appointment, revealed by Loewe’s parent company LVMH, will see the pair take charge of all creative aspects, encompassing womenswear, menswear, leather goods, and accessories, starting 7th April.
Loewe CEO Pascale Lepoivre expressed enthusiasm for the new leadership, highlighting the alignment of McCollough and Hernandez’s vision with Loewe’s established codes. The designers, who met during their studies at Parsons School of Design, founded Proenza Schouler in 2002 and recently stepped down from their roles there in late January.
This announcement follows the confirmation of Jonathan Anderson’s departure after nearly eleven years as Loewe’s creative director. McCollough and Hernandez acknowledged the honor of joining Loewe, emphasizing the shared values and mission between the brands.
They also expressed their anticipation to collaborate with Loewe’s skilled teams and artisans, acknowledging the foundation laid by Jonathan Anderson. The designers thanked LVMH leadership for the opportunity to contribute to Loewe’s future.
