John Lewis has launched its Black Friday sale ‘earlier than ever’ as more consumers begin preparing for Christmas in November.
For the entire month of November, the department store is offering hundreds of deals in-store and online in the categories of beauty, fashion, home, and technology.
The store is also offering consumers who purchase between now and 24th December until 23rd January to return or exchange their items.
The move forms part of the retailer’s strategy to support customers with spreading the cost of Christmas. Executive director Naomi Simcock said, “John Lewis is rewriting the Black Friday rulebook.”
She added by saying that the notion that it would only be a one-weekend event is gone, and now, the company is giving consumers exceptional savings on a huge selection of high-quality brands for the entire month.
A fifth of Britons begin planning for Christmas one month in advance, according to the most recent Christmas trends research from John Lewis.
The company reported that it had profited from the early upswing, with sales of their Christmas collections rising 10 per cent year over year in October and 13 per cent more people visiting its festive department.
