Mountain Berg, the parent company of Jigsaw, has reported rising sales and profits at the womenswear retailer, largely bolstered by the reviving demand for party dresses.
The company reported that after lockdown limits were lifted, sales increased to £ 56.8 million by the end of January from £ 47.7 million the year before.
In light of this, profits also increased to £ 1.9 million, a £ 700,000 rise over the prior year, as reported by This is Money.
It represents a successful recovery for the business, which had suffered due to the pandemic’s effects, store closures, and a drop in sales associated with parties.
But before then, Jigsaw was rumoured to have been having trouble in the face of intensifying competition in the women’s mid-market fashion market.
It seems like this is changing now. According to This is Money, the company has advanced by strengthening its online presence, forming alliances with major retailers like Next, and announcing plans to open a number of new locations across the nation.
