JCPenney, the American apparel giant, seems to be following other fashion retailers in launching beauty concepts.
The fashion retailer has announced the launch of ‘JCPenney Beauty’, which will be an online and in-store hub that comprises a perfect blend of mass, masstige and prestige products.
To launch the venture, the retailer is, reportedly, featuring Thirteen Lune as JCPenney Beauty’s flagship brand.
Here it is important to state that the association of JCPenney with Thirteen Lune marks the latter’s maiden bricks-and-mortar retail venture.
So when is it coming!
While it will be initially unveiled in select stores and JCPenney’s website this October, the nationwide rollout will begin in fall 2022 – continuing all through 2023.
There will be over 30 beauty brands created by founders of colour and allies across skincare, hair and other products.
The launch of JCPenney Beauty also means that the alliance with Sephora, as per media reports, will come to an end by late 2022.
Sephora is presently in most of JCPenney stores, but by 2023, JCPenney Beauty will – in all likelihood – have a presence in more than 670 stores across the country.
JCPenney Beauty was, reportedly, launched only after an extensive consumer research and study. The US retailer generated US $ 11.167 million in 2019.
