
Switzerland’s premium men’s lifestyle brand Swiss Military has signed Indian firm Suisse A La Mode as its exclusive partner to manufacture, retail, promote and distribute apparels for the brand in India. Currently, the brand’s worldwide presence includes 600 stores spanning 26 nations with over 1,900 SKUs.
Notably, Suisse A La Mode’s parent Million Exporter is North India’s leading garment manufacturer that caters to both overseas and domestic markes.
Elated on the tie-up, Million Exporter Managing Director Narinder Chugh stated that he aspired to launch a renowned international brand in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Make in India’, adding, “Swiss Military enjoys a massive worldwide popularity and this is the right time for the brand to foray into the Indian market.”
On the outset, he stated, the plan is to make Swiss Military merchandise available across all channels, including multi-band outlets, exclusive as well as franchisee stores, e-tailing platforms and also via distribution model to ensure that the brand can penetrate well into the country’s market.
Million Exporter Chief’s scion Akshat Chug, who leads Suisse A La Mode as its Managing Director, further described, “We are looking to launch 400 exclusive outlets pan-India for our products besides creating a presence through other channels such as corporate sales along with e-commerce portals Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart el al.
Suisse A La Mode will manufacture innovative and fine quality products such as t-shirts, jackets, pullovers, polo t-shirts, tops for Swiss Military. Importantly, the products are targeted at ‘affordable’ luxury consumer segment.
The company,markedly, offers quality, quantity and fashion at the same time. It has extensive experience and deep understanding of product creation combined with in-house designing and vertically-integrated set-up, and therefore, is capable of manufacturing fabric-to-fashion under a single roof.
Moreover, the company, as well, boasts compliance structure and avant-garde technology that can bring significant results for the partner brand(s).
Apropos the sales projections, Suisse A La Mode Head stated that “the estimated sales [Swiss Military apparels] for the coming year will be about Rs.100 crores or more.”
Further, Chug also disclosed that the company is deliberating and will soon finalize the brand face to drive marketing and promotions for the brand in India. The merchandise will be officially made available in metro cities in the coming September in the first phase.
