
Hermès, the French luxury fashion goods manufacturer, has witnessed a jump in its sales by 13 per cent in the first quarter of 2019.
This came in the wake of firm’s recent impressive performance all across the Asian region.
The French fashion manufacturer, in its quarterly report, highlighted that it attained a consolidated earning of US $ 1.79 billion for the said period. Notably, its sales from China helped Hermès achieve double-digit growth throughout Asia excluding Japan.
It is worth noting that the exceptionally good sales performance in China was instrumental in enabling the fashion goods manufacturer attain its fastest revenue growth in 4 years.
Hermès also pointed out that it gained a lot due to the store expansions also, including the one in Shanghai IFC. Besides, the store that opened in Phuket, Thailand in March 2019 has also been generating good numbers.
The company has also attributed the growth in sales to its new digital platform that was launched last year.
“It is a continuation of a dynamic trend, especially in China, which has helped us achieve an acceleration in sales,” said Axel Dumas, CEO, Hermès, while substantiating on the above.
