
HanesBrands has selected Sharilyn Gasaway for its board of directors. Gasaway’s term will extend through the 2025 annual meeting of stockholders, throughout which she will serve on the audit committee.
As per a company release, Gasaway brings precious experience from her term at Alltel Corporation, where she held roles counting executive VP (vice president) and chief financial officer, and previously served as controller.
Steve Bratspies, CEO of HanesBrands shared, “Gasaway is set to play a ritical role in promoting initiatives such as debt reduction, persistent growth, and cash flow enrichment.”
Throughout her time at Alltel Corporation, Gasaway was active in leading the company through major milestones, including its transition through a union with Verizon, following a prominent US $ 32 billion private equity buyout in the telecom industry.
Presently serving as a board director at Genesis Energy and JB Hunt Transport Services Inc., Gasaway has also contributed to Waddell and Reed Financial Inc. as a director.
Gasaway currently holds a CPA license and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana Tech University. She also finished the executive development program at The Wharton School.
