Flipkart Group has announced a leadership transition at its fashion marketplace Myntra, appointing Sharon Pais as the new head of Myntra with immediate effect. Pais will report to Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.
The appointment follows the decision of outgoing Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha to step down from the role. The company indicated that Sinha would continue to support the leadership transition over the coming months to ensure operational continuity.
Pais previously led the fashion category at Flipkart and also served as Chief Business Officer at Myntra. According to the company, she brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the fashion e-commerce business, and her appointment reflects an emphasis on continuity as Myntra builds on its current growth trajectory.
Alongside the leadership change, Flipkart said that Kapil Thirani would lead the Flipkart Fashion business and report to Sakait Chaudhary. The company also plans to initiate a search for a successor to lead the marketplace business.
Under Pais’s leadership, Myntra intends to scale its rapid commerce initiative, M-Now, and position it as a key driver of growth. The service, launched in November 2024, enables delivery of fashion and beauty products within 30 minutes to two hours.
M-Now currently operates in 10 cities and covers more than 940 pin codes, offering approximately 100,000 styles from over 1,000 brands. The platform competes with emerging quick-commerce fashion services such as Slikk, Knot, and Zilo.
During Sinha’s tenure, Myntra reported its first profitable financial year. The company’s profit surged eighteen-fold to Rs. 548 crore (US $58.70 million) in FY ’25 from Rs. 30 crore (US $3.21 million) in FY ’24, while revenue rose 18% to Rs. 6,042.7 crore (US $647 million).
