
Leading sportswear brand, Fila is reportedly eyeing to expand five-times by the end of 2023 in India and will boost its brick-and-mortar retail footprint by creating a network of standalone franchise stores across the country.
The South Korean athleisure brand has manufactured its merchandise and focussed its marketing techniques specifically for Indian audience. The brand also came up with a collaborative range with Norblack Norwhite, that was all about Indian fusion streetwear line.
The brand is working on designing motorsports footwear curated for the Indian market using high wearable resistant materials. This step is being taken to address the demands from a large chunk of people riding motorbikes in the nation.
Furthermore, the activewear label is also going to introduce its Hexo and Comfortx technologies for performance footwear.
It is pertinent to mention that the brand is currently operating two standalone stores across India, both being in Mumbai. However, it enjoys a large-scale presence, as more than 250 large format stores like Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop and others, stocks items from the sportswear giant.
Apart from the brick-and-mortar presence, Fila also retails its merchandise on India’s leading e-commerce platforms such as Myntra, Jabong and Amazon.
