In a funding round led by international venture capital company Lightspeed, Bengaluru-based 60-minute fashion delivery startup Slikk Club has raised US $ 3.2 million.
Early-stage venture capital company Multiply Ventures and other angel investors, such as Abhishek Goyal, the founder of Tracxn, Saurabh Gupta of DST Global and Nikhil Bhandarkar of Panthera Peak Ventures, also participated in the round.
The funds will be used by the company to extend its operations in Bengaluru, with the goal of covering 80 per cent of the city’s pin codes through the establishment of dark shopfronts, category expansion, brand additions to the platform and leadership team strengthening.
Founder and CEO Akshay Gulati said that the platform was selling western clothing up until recently. The company is expanding into categories like ethnic clothing, footwear, beauty and personal care (BPC), accessories and wearables, bags, backpacks and more with this round, as well as moving to much larger dark stores, he added.
Over the next five years, Slikk Club wants to grow into Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities and diversify into additional lifestyle areas. By September, the business intends to open three more dark stores in addition to its current two. Additionally, it wants to increase its footprint in the National Capital Region, which includes Delhi and Mumbai.
Founded in 2024 by Gulati, Om Prakash Swami and Bipin Singh, the vertical rapid commerce firm offers 60-minute deliveries around Bengaluru and focusses on fashion and lifestyle. Snitch, The Souled Store, Freakins, Uptownie, Off Duty, Bonkers and Bewakoof are among the more than 80 brands that are listed on the platform. Gulati claims that the business intends to add a few international companies to the site.
